Purchasing the Funds
The majority of funds offer you the option to send purchase orders by mail, fax or Internet and send purchase proceeds by check, wire transfer or Automated Clearing House (ACH). The funds do not accept cash or cash equivalents (such as travelers’ checks, money orders, bearer bonds), government checks, third-party checks, starter checks, or checks drawn on a line of credit (including credit card convenience checks). Cashiers checks, bank checks, official checks and treasurers’ checks less than or equal to $10,000 are also not accepted. Rydex SGI will reserve the right to refuse other payment instruments if it is deemed not to be in the best interest of the Funds and its shareholders. You may buy shares and send your purchase proceeds by any of the methods described below. Make your check payable to Rydex SGI. While most Funds offer unlimited exchange privileges with no minimum holding periods or transaction fees, certain Funds do not allow unlimited trading. Include the name of the fund(s) you want to purchase on your check. If you do not specify which fund(s) you want to purchase, your investment will be credited to Rydex U.S. Government Money Market Fund.

Initial Purchase
Submit a new account application and then call Rydex SGI to obtain your account number. Be sure to complete the “Electronic Investing via "ACH" section. Then, fax it to Rydex SGI (ONLY Individual, Joint and UGMA/UTMA accounts may be opened by fax).
Make sure to include a letter of instruction requesting that we process your purchase by ACH.
Make sure to designate which fund(s) you want to purchase.
Make sure your investment meets the account minimum.
Subsequent Purchases
Send written purchase instructions that include:

RydexShares™ Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)
RydexShares™ ETFs are available in the secondary market via transactions through brokers. Shares trade on an Exchange under the ticker symbol listed in the applicable RydexShares™ ETF prospectus. Shares can be bought and sold throughout the trading day like other publicly traded securities. When buying or selling shares through a broker, most investors will incur customary brokerage commissions and charges. Please talk to your financial intermediary if you are interested in RydexShares™ ETF products.
